What To Know
Hotel Edouard 7 is part of the B Signature Hotel & Resorts collection, a fresh, young, vibrant and dynamic luxury hotel portfolio with properties in Paris, Brittany and now St Barth. I have recently fallen in love with the brand having stayed at Hotel Bel Ami in Saint-Germain-Des-Pres earlier this month and inspecting the other properties in their Parisian collection. They truly cater to a new generation of travelers, promoting a brand of unbuttoned luxury.
Hotel Edouard 7 is the only 4 star property out of the whole collection of 5 star properties. However, the level of service is certainly not compromised!
Hotel Edouard 7 was the Parisian home of a total epicurean and lover of Paris, Edward VII. Consider this hotel as a love letter to his legacy.
The hotel was renovated in 2013 by designer Christopher Daudré.

Highlights
Very boutique and residence feel with only 69 rooms, including 10 suites. Hotel Edouard 7 captures the period/style while maintaining contemporary elements.
Location, location, location! Hotel Edouard 7 is ideally situated in the heart of Paris on Avenue de l'Opéra. You are literally a 4 minute walk from the Palais Garnier and a 10 minute walk to the Louvre. Not to mention you're just steps away from Place Vendome, Printemps, Jardin des Tuileries, and Galeries Lafayette. This is the perfect spot for all your right bank lovers!
The staff are impeccable and professional without being too in your face.
The entry level rooms are spacious as far as Paris hotel rooms go. However, I highly recommend booking a Deluxe room to start!
Two stylish conference rooms.
An upscale and cosy restaurant, E7, open everyday except on weekends for party functions.
Dog friendly (with a fee)!
Eco chic and forward, the robes are deliciously divine. Why? Because they are made of bamboo!
Because of the hotel layout, most of the rooms (bar the first floor) have a balcony overlooking the bustling Avenue de L'Opera or the quiet Rue D'Antin.

Lowlights
In my opinion, breakfast had limited options. At Hotel Bel Ami (another B Signature property) the breakfast food selection was vast and colorful. Also, a preference on my part but I found the eggs extremely runny for my taste. The food was a little slow to replenish too.
The gym is on the smaller side; however, a gym in a boutique hotel is a major plus!
Though there is 24/7 room service, it is light fare. But not a problem when you have a wealth of superb restaurants outside your front door!
Check In/The Room
My arrival was smooth and fun. I hopped into an Uber from the 6th arrondissement for a 10 minute jaunt. If arriving from Charles De Gaulle Airport, expect a 35 minute journey. If arriving from Orly Airport, expect just under 35 minutes. My room was ready early (best words to hear upon check in!). Everyone at the front desk was warm-hearted and inviting. As I walked in, I was delighted to walk into such a spacious room with a balcony overlooking unrestricted views of the Palais Garnier.
Audacity. Seduction. Character. Theatricality.
These are just a few words to capture the theme of the rooms.

The walls are stenciled with cursively written excerpts from the picaresque novel, Gil Blas. Oh if these walls could talk!
All rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, and a curtained closet with a small safe.
